Every donation becomes a coral fragment, transplanted by hand by our local teams. For more than 14 years, we have been restoring reefs in Indonesia, Spain and Kenya, one coral at a time, with one shared goal: bringing the ocean back to life.

Your adoption funds the collection of a living coral fragment and its transplantation onto a solid structure, in the zone of your choice. You receive the GPS coordinates of this zone, and updates on its progress are shared with you over time.

Together, we build a shared understanding of coral reefs, so that everyone, wherever they live, can recognise the impact of their everyday choices on the health of these ecosystems.
03. A healthy reef, measured
Our teams scientifically monitor the growth and survival of adopted corals, and send you updates twice a year on the progress of the zone you have contributed to with your coral.

I was lucky enough to discover Coral Guardian through coral adoption. In 2016, my father gave my brother and me a coral transplanted on Hatamin Island.
I think the coral adoption scheme helps to raise public awareness of the conservation of marine flora and fauna, and to create a first connection with people who already have even the slightest interest in marine life.
