Your adoption funds the collection of a living coral fragment and its transplantation onto a solid structure, in the zone of your choice. You receive the GPS coordinates of this zone, and updates on its progress are shared with you over time.

Each zone is selected by our teams according to precise criteria: the presence of degraded reefs, favourable environmental conditions (currents, temperature, depth), and a manageable level of local threat (destructive fishing, pollution, etc.). We currently work through local partners in Indonesia (the Pulau Hatamin Programme with the WES Foundation), Spain (the Deep Core Programme with Coral Soul) and Kenya (the REEL Project with the Oceans Alive Foundation).

Your adoption funds the purchase and installation of restoration structures, the collection and transplantation of coral fragments, the maintenance of nurseries and artificial reefs, and their scientific monitoring. Part of it also supports outreach with local communities, who become the guardians of their own reef day to day.

You receive the GPS coordinates of the restoration zone where your coral was planted, along with regular updates (twice a year) on the progress of that zone. We don't track corals individually: what matters to us is the restoration of the whole reef.

As a non-profit organisation recognised for its general-interest mission, Coral Guardian allows you to deduct 66% of your donation from your income tax (up to a limit of 20% of your taxable income), and businesses can deduct 60% as corporate philanthropy (up to a limit of 0.5% of turnover). Your tax receipt is sent automatically once your donation has been processed.

Since the start of our mission, we have recorded a strong average coral survival rate of 83%. This figure is measured regularly by our scientific teams in the field.

Coral restoration involves an element of natural risk - storms, heat events, invasive species. That's why we work by restoration zone rather than coral by coral. If a fragment doesn't survive, it is replaced as part of the overall monitoring of the zone you support.

Yes, and it's one of our community's favourite gifts. The recipient receives a code allowing them to personalise their own adoption certificate.

Adopting a coral directly supports reef restoration through a coral fragment. Making a donation provides broader support, including outreach, research and seabed clean-ups. You can complement your adoption with a one-off or monthly donation.
